The SBS racking system can be used with virtually every VRLA or flooded battery commercially available including C&D, Powercom, Dynasty, GNB, Exide, Enersys, Alcad, Saft; and of course, any SBS battery. Racks are available in all Seismic Zone (0-4) ratings & comply with UBC Section 1630 as well as other codes & standards. Racks are easily upgraded to any Seismic rating in the field without removing battery jars. All SBS racks are painted & dip-coated in a rubberized epoxy sealant to ensure a long service life, no battery case damage & no unintended path to ground while remaining impervious to battery acid. Teflon rail guides and insulators afford an expeditious installation. Naturally SBS can provide any rack in any custom length for your more challenging projects.
SBS produces the traditional 4" berm barrier with EDPE liner or epoxy floor coating interior as shown. Additionally, the EconoPan Series modular EDPE interlocking tray system is an extremely flexible and cost effective way to achieve NFPA spill containment compliance whether for flooded, NiCad or VRLA cells. SBS will configure a spill containment system that complies with the most stringent local codes as well as state & federal regulations including UFC-1999-6404.4, BOCA 417/418, NFPA-2003-35-3.4, NFPA1-UFC-2006-52.3.4, IFC-2006-608.4, OSHA 1926.441a4, EPA-CFRpt264.175, IEEE1187-1996.5.1 as well as all other pertinent and accepted methods, standards & practices. All SBS spill containment systems employ our exclusive flame-retardant acid neutralizing absorbant pillows.
Telco-style relay racks are available for a variety of applications including self-contained dc power systems for telco-closets as well as a variety of AC & DC mini-power systems mounting requirements. These simplified racks can accommodate rectifiers, inverters, chargers, distribution panels & even batteries. Available in standard 19" and 23" designs, they can also be utilized for network equipment, servers, switches, routers, firewalls and a variety of instrumentation in industrial & utility applications.

The Cool-Cell® system offers maintenance free unpowered passive temperature regulating control that maintains a temperature range of 40F to 77F in most environments even when external temperatures range from -20F to +125F. That means a cooler internal temperature in the summer & a steady state well above freezing temperature in the winter without costly air conditioning or heating elements that require regular inspection & maitnenance. Perfect for outdoor applications (waste water treatment or cable TV) & ambient environments that pose a significant threat to battery service life.
